Tax Cuts In Los Angeles? Yes, That’s Right.

Yes, in fact in this recent LA Times story about a new ordinance that will cut business tax for internet-based companies in Los Angeles. The change, which was unanimously approved by the City Council on March 5, will affect about 1,400 businesses in Los Angeles.  LA’s Mayor signed the measure on March 22nd.

The Department of Recreation and Parks took a $25 million cut to its budget in 2009-10.  As a result, holiday closures of recreation centers, senior centers and child care centers will begin on Jan. 18, Feb. 15, March 31, April 5, and May 31.
