The National Weather Service on Monday issued an excessive heat warning for parts of Southern California, as a significant heat wave moved into the region. Forecasters said thunderstorms are possible tonight and that portions of the Mojave Desert will experience highs well above 100 and lows that probably won’t dip below 90.
