Tip Number Six: Rest. Our lifestyles are demanding. A demanding lifestyle, inclusive of workouts, causes varying levels of stress (however, workout stress—when not overdone—yields positive results). High levels of stress can stunt your metabolism, raise blood pressure levels, elevate your appetite for sugar, along with other negative side effects. By allowing yourself a day of rest, your body can get back to equilibrium and appropriate function.
