The National Weather Service issued wind warnings through Tuesday for mountain and foothill areas across Southern California.
Gusty north to northwest winds were expected as a high pressure system builds across Southern California and pushes temperatures into the 70s and 80s by Wednesday, according to the Weather Service.
Winds will be especially strong along Interstate 5 in the Grapevine area and in the foothills of the Antelope Valley. Gusts could exceed 60 mph, the Weather Service said.
A cooler marine layer will begin filling the area beginning Thursday and result in cooler temperatures, the Weather Service said.
